Kalgachia, 27th June 2024: Assam Cooperative Society, Barpeta has organized a programme on the formation of College Cooperative Society in collaboration with the Students’ Welfare Committee of Nabajyoti College Kalgachia.
The programme was attended by four delegates from the cooperative society- Karabi Boro, Gayatri Kurmi, Debojit Nath, and Sikha Rani Sarma. The program began with Debojit Nath, auditor of Cooperative Society, DRCS, Barpeta explaining to the students the objective and importance of a cooperative society.
Emphasizing the formation of a cooperative society at college, Nath disseminated all the required information about its structure and requirements. In the current scenario such a society can play a crucial role in generating employment and assisting students in various activities.
The discussion was followed by the formation of a College Cooperative Society at Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia. The society consists of 15 members along with a Secretary selected from the students. After completing all the formalities required to form a cooperative society the program concluded with a vote of thanks by Pritam Dey Sarkar, Assistant Professor of Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia.
