Kalgachia, May 14: An interactive session on career counselling and NEP implementation was organised by the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell of Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia. Three resource persons were invited from the Royal Global University, Guwahati to the programme.
The programme was chaired by the principal of Nabajyoti College, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed. The programme started with the felicitation of the resource persons and the principal of the college. The faculties of the college as well as the students of the college attended the interactive programme.
The welcome speech was delivered by the principal of the college, Dr. Shahjahan Ali Ahmed. The first speaker, Tanjeela Mehboob, Asstt. Professor, Dept. of Political Science, Assam Royal Global University gave a brief about their college and the mission and vision of their college. The second speaker, Tanzim Masud, Asstt. Prof. Dept. of History, Royal Global University discussed about the various professional courses provided by the university.
She discussed the importance of smart planning to achieve success in the career of every student. She also shared about the various coaching classes provided by the university, like NET/SLET and Civil Services. The third and final speaker of the day, Mukesh Kalita, Asstt. Prof. Dept. of History, Royal Global University gave suggestions to the students on how to handle various pressures of a student’s life. He counselled the students for their careers. At the end of all three sessions, there was an interactive session among the students and the three key speakers. The speakers resolved the queries and doubts that came from the students. Next, there was an interaction session of the speakers with the faculties of the college. Discussions were made on various topics related to joint research, workshops, seminars and Student exchange programmes.
The programme was hosted by Dr. Fakhrul Alam, Asstt. Prof. Dept. of Political Science, Nabajyoti College. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Hemanta Hazarika, Asstt. Prof. Dept. of Chemistry, Nabajyoti College.
